Strikers' SolidarityParcels,

Support Union members!

Food & Solidarity prioritises workers taking industrial action for solidarity parcel in weeks during which strikes are taking place. Although we are a small organisation, we hope this will provide material support and aid union members forgoing pay to improve conditions of the working class.

Strikers' Solidarity Parcels: Supporting Workers on the Frontlines

At Food & Solidarity, our mission has always been to stand with those who are struggling and fighting for a fairer, more just society. In line with that commitment, we will be prioritising workers who are taking industrial action for our weekly solidarity parcels during periods when strikes are taking place.

Strikes are Essential

We know that strikes and industrial action are an essential tool for workers to challenge unfair practices, demand better pay, and improve working conditions. However, going on strike often comes with significant financial hardship, as union members forgo wages to push for necessary changes. That's where our solidarity parcels come in. By providing vital food and household items, we hope to ease the immediate financial pressures faced by those on the picket lines.

Though we are a small organisation, we believe that even modest acts of solidarity can have a profound impact. By prioritising striking workers, we aim to offer tangible support and encourage the broader community to stand with them in their fight for justice. It’s a reminder that no worker stands alone, and collective action can bring about the change we all need.

Connecting Community Care and Organised Labour.

This initiative is just one way Food & Solidarity continues to build power among the working class, fostering connections between community care and organised labour. Striking for better conditions isn’t just about the individual workplace; it’s about improving the lives of all working people. We stand with every worker who takes that bold step, and we are proud to contribute in any way we can.

If you’re a worker currently on strike, please reach out to us to see how we can assist you. And if you want to support our efforts, consider joining, volunteering, or simply spreading the word. Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind in the struggle for fairness and equality.

Solidarity always!
